About Lindsay ADHD Coaching

Ten years ago I introduced coaching as an added resource for my Professional Organizing clients. My ADHD clients needed more than a few hands on Professional Organizing sessions to maintain organization and internalize new habits. Clearing the clutter was just the first step; and probably the easiest.

ADHD specific strategies are needed, with ongoing support and accountability, to take the personalized systems we discussed from being pipe dreams to reality.

Now through regular coaching sessions we address the challenges of ADHD and integrate positive, productive habits, skills and behaviors’ into daily living. By focusing on strengths and passions and working towards specific goals, positive change is inevitable.

The Coaching Process

So how do I work, you ask?

Typically sessions are held weekly, by phone and last 60 minutes; but I'm totally flexible; if you would prefer more, or less, sessions depending on your situation, that's fine - it's all about you. Regular check-ins are an essential part of the coaching process so I offer email back up during the week, in-between coaching sessions, as part of the coaching fee.

Coaching is not a quick fix – incremental changes in skills and behavior takes time, practice and perseverance. For this reason I ask for a verbal commitment of no less than 12 sessions to begin our partnership. (See my guarantee below…) Thereafter we can discuss what will work for you. Coaching is a process that builds over time - less than 12 sessions may not produce the positive results we both seek.

Step One: Your Complimentary Coaching Call…

Contact me and we will schedule an obligation free ‘Complimentary Coaching Call - an 'informal chat'. I want to understand what's going on for you; why you want to try coaching. Is it the right option for you; and am I the right coach?

This is an opportunity for you to interview me; check out my qualifications; and experience my coaching style. Discuss costs. And what you expect to gain from your coaching ‘investment’. See if you feel comfortable talking with me and ask yourself if you feel we can create a unique partnership and work as a team.

If we decide to become 'coaching allies' we can book your Intake Session. And I will email you my Coaching Agreement and an invoice for the session.

Step Two: Your Intake Session…

This in-depth session creates the foundation for our coaching; and typically takes 2 hours. How does your ADHD ‘turn up’ and affect your life, and the lives of those around you? We’ll discuss your personal needs and goals, general health – do you get enough sleep, exercise and eat a good ADD diet? What emotional fall out have you experienced – low self esteem, depression, anxiety perhaps OCD traits? We will create a ‘blue print’ for our coaching and establish your ‘primary coaching goals’ that will bring success (whatever that means to you…) to your personal and/or professional life.

Some typical issues discussed are:

• organizing – both personal and professional
• time management
• self care and stress reduction
• business or career management
• inter personal relationships

Step Three: Book ongoing coaching sessions

Once you have completed your Intake Session if you chose to continue we book your next month’s coaching sessions – find a time and day that will be your regular coaching appointment. I ask for a verbal commitment of three months as less time seldom brings the results we both seek. After 12 weeks we reassess your progress and discuss how we’ll proceed.

Quote…

“A coach is your partner in achieving professional goals, your champion during a turnaround, your trainer in communication and life skills, your sounding board when making choices, your motivator when strong actions are called for, your unconditional support when you take a hit, your mentor in personal development, your wake-up call if you don’t hear your own, and most importantly: Your coach is your partner in living the life you know you’re ready for, personally and professionally,”
