  • Q. How can I take on coaching when I’m already over committed and stressed?

The coaching will take up time BUT ultimately you end up with more free time. Stress decreases creativity and often lowers productivity so totally counterproductive – literally. We’ll do an audit of your time management and streamline it to avoid any wasted time. We’ll look at any underlying negative beliefs that may be flipping you into perfectionism or workaholism. We’ll discuss your self-care and stress and find strategies to improve both. Gradually we will peel you off the ceiling and bring more harmony into your everyday life! You will ultimately find you produce more and better work.


  • Q. Why is ADHD Coaching increasing in popularity now?

Today we are saturated with information. Overwhelmed with the amount of choices we have to make on a daily basis. And with the current world wide recession (ignore this if you live in Australia or New Zealand) many are expected to produce much more, in less time.   • Q. Who do you work with?

My clients are busy professionals working in corporate or government jobs; many entrepreneurs; solo-preneurs with home based businesses, IT programmers in cutting edge digital fields; creative professionals in film, television, PR and advertising. I’ve worked with ER doctors, nurses, college professors, lawyers and corporate execs….many extremely successful BUT it takes a lot more time and energy for them to get and stay there - often stretched to the max, my clients are looking for a better way to work and live, and a coach to work with them to get there.


  • Q. Is coaching tax deductible as a business expense?

Yes. I am a certified professional coach (graduated from two prestigious coach training institutions) and a registered business owner so yes, you can claim your sessions as consulting fees. But please check with your tax accountant for any deviations in your state or country.


  • Q. Lindsay, why did you become a coach?

Many of the ‘hundreds of clients’ I worked with seemed to have to work much harder and longer to keep up with their ‘more organized’ colleagues. The theme that ran through most sessions was overwhelming stress. Just organizing the space didn’t solve the problem. But coaching did. Working consistently to create and internalize new habits and systems is the answer. Figure out what trips you up and how to manage it better. Having an accountability partner is invaluable if procrastination or perfectionism is your nemesis. My goal is to work myself out of a job and you into a more focused and fulfilling life. If building a ragingly successful business or lifestyle is a byproduct of that, then hey, let’s do it!!


  • Q. What are the major benefits of having your own coach?

  • Q. Apart from the obvious issues of organizing and time management what other issues do people work on?

Often the line between personal and business life gets blurred for a busy professional. As a coach I’m the only professional trained to work with all aspects of your life. Many clients want to create a higher quality of life in their professional and personal lives; strengthen their personal foundation; have more control and be proactive, not reactive; and improve relationship skills. After some coaching ‘extreme self care’ starts to feature high on the agenda, as does living a more balanced life.


  • Q. Where does the coaching take place - do you have in-person sessions?

I have clients worldwide, so the vast majority of the coaching work I do is done by phone from one of my home offices. I am based in the San Francisco Bay Area but spend a lot of time near Big Sky, Montana, and the Kapiti Coast of New Zealand, and often meet with clients in those parts of the world. If you would like to meet with me for the initial Intake Session, my traveling expenses can be added to the fee structure, and a meeting arranged.


  • Q. What’s holding most people back from reaching their goals?

Often goals are not clarified or defined. Or the steps to achieve them mapped out clearly. Sometimes the goal currently pursued is not what the client really wants – many times we pursue what we think we ‘should’ do. Or some of us are held back by limiting beliefs and negative assumptions; huge ‘energy sink-holes.’ And trying to move ahead with conflicting intentions is a little like standing with one foot on the dock and the other in a boat while the tide goes out. Never a good look! Once you recognize these thought patterns, we can work on converting them.


  • Q. What can I expect to gain from coaching?

  • Q. I feel like I haven’t lived up to my full potential - do many of your clients feel this way?

Yes – many clients who went undiagnosed and untreated for 30, 40 or 50 years or more, do. But it’s never too late to make the most of today and your future. Often great assets and accomplishments can be found in perceived failures and past problems so defiantly worth ‘mining’ those situations to add to your ‘victory basket’! If you can begin to review your past, however rocky, through a ‘positive viewfinder’ you can become more content in general; make happiness your default mode moving can be done with practice and inevitably you will begin to live up to your full potential today moving forward.


  • Q. What are some of the most common problems you coach about?

Every one is different. Each client has his or her own set of circumstances to work through - but typically clients talk about a combination of these scenarios and want to develop specific skills to managed and overcome them….

  • Q. How do you begin coaching?

The process is begun with a Complimentary Consultation this is your opportunity to ‘interview me’, ask me as many questions as you need to. And I need to understand what's going on for you and why you want to be coached. What you expect to gain. Clarify, for us both, that this is the right option for you; and I’m the right coach. And most importantly feel that we 'click'...can we work as a team?

We'll talk for as long as it takes for us both to make that determination. If we decide to become 'coaching allies' we will discuss costs and logistics, and book your Intake Session.

The Intake Session takes 2 to 2½ hours. During this session we will explore in-depth your personal needs and goals. What is and isn’t working. What you need to change to be more effective at work and live a more balanced life, and have more time and energy for the relationships and activities that are most important to you. From this data we create a blue print of how we will begin our coaching and where we will focus to get the results you want.

Book coaching sessions
Once we have completed the Intake Session we go on to book your first 12 sessions. I ask for a commitment of 3 months to begin the process. Less time is likely to result in little or no change. I strongly advise you chose a time and day that can become your regular coaching appointment. Continuity and accountability are the corner stone’s of the coaching relationship…
